3.3. Một cộng đồng sẵn sàng phục vụ thế giới
156. Đây là hệ luận do tính cách phổ quát của CLC. Trách nhiệm
làm phát triển
những gắn bó của cộng đồng không dừng lại ở cộng đoàn địa
phương, nhưng phải lan
rộng tới CLC quốc gia và thế giới, tới những cộng đồng giáo hội
mà chúng ta là phần
tử trong đó (như giáo xứ, giáo phận), tới toàn thể Giáo Hội và
tất cả những ai có thiện
chí (131).
157. Trong Đại Hội Thế giới 1979 tại Rô-ma, một nhận định của
cộng đồng đă
được thực hiện đưa tới quyết định biến Hiệp hội Thế giới thành
một Cộng đồng Thế
giới là CLC. Những lư do chính khiến các đại biểu chọn lựa như
vậy (và vẫn c̣n
hiệu lực cho đến hôm nay) là v́:
• sự tế nhị và t́nh huynh đệ dấn thân cho những nhu cầu và khó
khăn của
nhân loại (132).
• muốn mở cửa đón nhận mọi người từ những quốc gia và văn hóa
khác nhau
(133).
• nhu cầu thống nhất kế hoạch và hành động để đối phó với những
vấn đề của
thế giới (134).
• để có thể đáp ứng những ǵ khẩn thiết và phổ quát nhất. Là
thành viên
CLC, chúng ta không bị sắp đặt trước để làm điều ǵ, nhưng phải
sẵn sàng để làm mọi
sự. Đang khi những hội đoàn khác trong Giáo Hội thi hành những
công tác tông đồ
đặc biệt, th́ CLC vẫn luôn sẵn sàng phục vụ mọi nhu cầu của Giáo
Hội và của thế

3.3. A community at the service of the world
156. "We aim to extend these bonds of unity to the National and
World CLC and to the Church communities of which we are part
(parish, diocese), to the whole Church and to all people of good
will." (131)
157. During the World Assembly in Rome 1979, a communal
discernment was made which led to the decision to transform the
World Federation of Christian Life Communities into one World
Community. The main reasons, which led to making this choice,
were as follows:
• sensitivity and commitment to the needs and problems of all
humanity. (132)
• being open to people from other countries and other
cultures. (133)
• the need for unity of vision and action in the face of the
world's problems. (134)
• being available for what is most urgent and most universal. As
members of the CLC we are predestined for nothing, but available
for everything. While other associations within the Church
undertake specific apostolic tasks, CLC remains open to serve
all the needs of the Church and the world, whatever they are.
