I appreciate the parallel drawn to the Moses story. I have been impressed
by the pervasiveness of direct reference and metaphoric connection to
the theme of deliverance in Scripture which incidentally, the Kerygma
study series explores. It seems that God's holy intervention(s) occur(s)
in a human context of abusive power and human suffering, even and perhaps
especially among the innocents. Living within a contemporary wounded
world, this story gives me hope in God's holy redemption.
