Meeting 16: Do I Want To
Continue In Christian Life Community?
v
Opening prayer:
Music, choose a
Scripture, poetry, environment.
v
Check-in:
How am I feeling as I begin
this meeting? (10 minutes total)
v
Reflection
(facilitator read): Now that
we have come to the end of Tracking the Spirit and have
considered the three charisms of CLC, it is time for me to decide
whether I wish to join Christian Life Community. What do I look
for? Do I or do I not feel more alive now than before I started in
this group? Am I finding more than friendship here? Am I willing
to share this experience with any group of people? Does the grace
of this experience outweigh any doubts or questions I may have
about CLC? What is important is following God’s desires for me.
What do I desire? If there is peace that comes from this process,
then God may be inviting me to continue in CLC.
Making the decision freely to move
into Christian Life Community calls for courage in that some may
decide to leave this group. The spirit of grace is to support them
in their decision and encourage them to pursue some other path. A
sense of personal loss is natural and to be embraced. The primary
issue in all spiritual pursuit is to recognize and follow the
promptings of the Holy Spirit, wherever She may lead. If some of
you decide to continue, then we will continue this path together.
If some of you decide to follow another path, we bless you on your
new journeys. Our prayers are with you, and we ask your prayers
for us. It has been a gift to share this experience with you.
Short silence (2-3 min)
v
Sharing
(facilitator introduce): What
struck me in this reflection? Do I desire to continue in CLC? +
+ + After the sharings, close with the exchange of Christ’s
peace.
_______________
Those leaving and those continuing
in CLC may each wish to gather in a circle to receive each other’s
blessing. Those discontinuing may now leave.
Those of you continuing in CLC may
contact your Guide about moving into the next stage.
Some communities meet during the
summer with a sharing and potluck. It is up to each group to
decide what it wants to do in this regard. If you have any
questions, please feel free to contact your community guide.
