v
Theme
(read aloud): The mission of CLC
is to put flesh around the spirit and work of Jesus in our own
day. This is manifested primarily in the quality of one’s
presence seen in living a life of compassion, reverence for others
and the environment, and commitment to justice, especially for the
poor and marginated. Living out this mission to be Christ for
others occurs mostly within our family and professional milieu. It
is for each CLC member and community to discern how God’s Spirit
is moving them to do this. This they will recognize through what
interests and inspires them in their prayer. When we are touched
by the Spirit of love, everything becomes missionary, even the
most ordinary routines of our daily life. Everything becomes part
of the mission of CLC.
v
Reflection
(facilitator read): Do I
resonate with the mission of CLC? Am I living out this mission
already? What would be different for me if I were to live out this
mission within CLC?
Short silence
v
Sharing
(facilitator introduce): What
struck me in this reflection? If my reflection suggests that
change is needed in my life, what am I willing to do? Is there
some way that this group could support me in my effort? + + +
After the sharings, members may add anything else they wish, or
ask for feedback from the group. Close with a brief prayer.
