v
Theme
(read aloud):
There is an undeniable experience of a Transcendent Other. It is
experienced in all cultures and traditions, and yet is beyond all
cultural constructs and theological language. To image this
presence is to limit it; to open our hearts to it is to embrace
it. Becoming one with the All is the urge of the human heart and
all creation. Whether it be YHWH, God, Allah, Great Spirit, or
some other name, the human heart is restless until it comes to
rest in the presence of this Other.
v
Reflection
(facilitator
read): One name the Gospels uses is God. Who is God to me? Does
God love me? Do I trust God unconditionally? Who is Jesus to me?
Who is Holy Spirit to me? To whom do I pray? Short silence
(2-3 min)
v
