I hope you all
enjoyed the Holy Easter holiday!!!
Inspired by the
outcome of the last youth gathering in Kansas City, this summer we are
blessed to have the opportunity to attend one of the Greatest Events
ever! We want to extend an invitation to every one of you to come to
the Dong Hanh Gathering 2001 in Pennsylvania State on July 12-15 of
2001.
This event
presents us with a unique opportunity to gather and to share the
valuable experience of God’s love existing in the Dong Hanh family.
You will meet youth from all over the United States, Canada, and
Europe. You will hear uplifting stories and wonderful experiences of
journeys in faith! From all of this, you will learn new and exciting
ways to deepen your faith and expand your awareness of how to practice
Christian values in your daily life. Powerful seminars designed to
build the spiritual lives of young people. There will also be a forum
to exchange ideas on group dynamics, resources for inspiration, and
other awesome activities!
Prepare yourself
for extraordinary days of activities. We are planning tourist
outings, outdoor sports and activities, workshops, and music. Cha Long
and the Youth Team will direct all the workshops. This year, the
workshops will divide into two tracks; one is for adult and one is for
the youth. Additionally, “Dong Hanh by Night” will be filled with a
multitude of talent acts that will engage us all.
Who is going to
be there?
Everyone from the
Dong Hanh family: Executive Council, Priests, Youth Teams, and
everyone from all regions. Especially this year, the Youth Team is
organizing event programs. They will be there to organize the
programs, activities, music, and anything needed to make this an event
to remember. You might ask who is the Youth Team? The Youth Team is a
team composed of all the representatives from all the regions, to help
build a Dong Hanh youth ministry. At this moment, I would like to take
this opportunity to introduce the Youth Team representatives: South
West region: Thúy, Ty, Uyên Chi, Martin, and David from Clam Chowder,
CA. Central region: Trúc from New Orleans, LA, Dung from the
Ducklings, Wichita Falls, TX, Susan from Amarillo, TX, and Tuân from
Denver, CO. NorthEast region: Khang and Tiến from Con Cá, Virginia,
Hương and Ngọc from Love Boat, MD. Canadian region: Sơn from Hiệp
Nhất and Huy Nam from Tứ Phương Đồng Tâm. Last but not least, thầy
Nhàn from Jesuit St. Louis, anh Đạt from Maryland, and myself from
Tulsa, OK. We�re also praying and hoping cha Long can join us at the
gathering. We want to extend a big �Thank you� to all for the help
given to the Dong Hanh youth ministry. Now, you know who the Youth
Team members are when they contact you. Please extend your warmest
welcome and your support in their new roles.

Youth Group will provide airport transportation from Maryland, so it
is very important that you send your travel itinerary to them. Their
e-mail is LoveBoatPeople@yahooegroups.com. These are the airports
that you should be using for flight reservations: BWI, DCA, and IAD.
For the Washington Metro area, if you use the airport code, WAS, it
will include all three. The flight will vary depending on departure
location. The registration fee is $85 per person, which includes
daily meals, Dong Hanh 2001 registration, and lodging accommodations.
Listen girls and
guys, you don�t want to miss this year’s event. This is the event of
the year and we want each and every one of you to be with us during
this glorious occasion. We know that everyone will receive all the
encouragement and the strengthening that anyone could possibly need at
the Dong Hanh Gathering 2001. You don’t want to miss it!!!
