Here tonight I
sit and pray,
Lord I ask that if I may
Ask forgiveness for my ways.
Times today I sought to gain
Pleasures binding me like chains.
As I lost you
from my sight,
Things just didn’t turn out right.
As I wandered
from your gaze,
Life is but an endless maze.
Lord I ask you take away,
Take away my bad, bad ways.
Now I give my
heart to you,
Tell me; tell me what to do.
Just before I
go to sleep,
Praying that my soul you’ll keep.
Pleasures that I sought this day,
Gladly I would give away,
Just you Lord I seek today.
